NICHOLAS GARCIA
Commissioning Specialist
Nicholas Garcia joined JHE in August 2025 as a Commissioning Specialist. Prior to this role, he worked as a TD Process Engineer – Industrial Wastewater at Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he commissioned and oversaw numerous systems supporting advanced semiconductor fabrication.
A native of Tampa, Nicholas was active in Boy Scouting, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He went on to study at the University of South Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. During college, he completed three summer internships with Hazen and Sawyer, gaining hands-on experience in construction oversight, stormwater modeling, and wastewater treatment permitting.
Following graduation, Nicholas relocated to Oregon to join Intel, where he led projects in construction, commissioning, and functional acceptance testing for new and existing systems. His work focused on ensuring reliability and improving performance in high-tech manufacturing environments.
Outside of work, Nicholas is an avid sports fan, with a special passion for hockey and the Tampa Bay Lightning. He also enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking in the Cascades and along the Columbia River Gorge, as well as canning homemade jellies during Oregon’s berry season.
