Commissioning Specialist
Adrián de la Torre joined JH Engineering in July 2025 as a Commissioning Specialist, bringing more than a decade of experience in commissioning, start-up, qualification, and validation projects. He has worked extensively in the biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries, with deep expertise in the commissioning and integration of advanced water systems, including water for injection, chilled water, clean-in-place, and reverse osmosis purification systems.
Beyond life sciences, Adrián contributed to the successful commissioning and start-up of one of the world’s largest indoor vertical farms. In that role, he integrated and validated highly specialized systems such as irrigation, centralized water and nutrient distribution, CIP, and sanitation networks.
Originally from Mexico, Adrián earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering before moving to the United States, where he completed a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas. His dedication to community impact was exemplified in his role as Capital Improvement Project Manager for the City of El Paso, where he oversaw major infrastructure projects that supported the city’s long-term growth and development.
Proud of his heritage as a Mexican immigrant, Adrián is passionate about delivering excellence for project teams and clients while making a meaningful difference in the communities he serves. Outside of work, he stays active playing soccer several times a week and enjoys boxing, racing, reading, music, and traveling. An outdoor enthusiast and self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, he is happiest near water, whether rivers, lakes, or the ocean. He is always seeking his next adventure.
